Overview
"Mat Than Mountain - Thang Hen Lake" is probably a familiar destination for everyone when traveling and exploring Tra Linh district, a part of "Cao Bang Non Nuoc UNESCO Global Geopark" but perhaps only a few people have ever set foot in "Ky Rang Cave and Canh Cao Sinkhole".
Itinerary
20:30: Tour guide picks up the group in Hanoi (My Dinh bus station) to start the journey to conquer Canh Cao Sinkhole, departing for Tra Linh district, Cao Bang.
05:00: The group arrives at Thang Hen Lake Tourist Area.
06:00: Watch the sunrise and have breakfast.
07:00: Get on the car to move to Mat Than Mountain, the starting point of Trekking.
07:30: Check in Nam Tra waterfall.
08:00: Start trekking through Na Ma valley, passing through buckwheat flower fields, purple Ham Ha flowers or corn fields…, walking under the special-use forest.
10:30: Start the journey through Ky Rang cave, with a system of strangely shaped and colorful stalactites.
12:00: Lunch, rest.
13:00: Continue walking to Thang Hen Lake.
14:00: Arrive at Thang Hen, check in and rest.
15:00: Technical training: You will be trained by experts and technical team of Vietnam Expeditions on rope swinging, using equipment and safety principles in the next journey.
16:30: Relaxing activities, SUP rowing to check in at Thang Hen Lake. 18:00: Shower and prepare dinner.
19:00: Enjoy a unique dinner at Ham Huong cave with local specialties.
21:00: Time to rest, go to bed.
07:00: Enjoy a peaceful, poetic morning at Thang Hen Lake. Have breakfast.
08:00: Departure, journey to explore the old forest, rocky mountains, Tra Linh nature reserve. Approach Canh Cao sinkhole – the deepest and most attractive point.
09:30: Approaching the sinkhole. With the help of the
safety team, the whole group climbed down the sinkhole with a rope.
11:00: The group rests and has lunch in the heart of Canh Cao sinkhole.
13:00: Challenge yourself by hanging in the middle of the sinkhole by Zipline. You will experience the feeling of “flying”, looking down from above at the bottom of the sinkhole.
15:00: Trekking through the sinkhole back to Thang Hen Lake.
16:00: Shower, rest, dinner.
19:00: Get on the bus back to Hanoi
05:00 (next day): Arrive in Hanoi (estimated)
