Day 2: Ho Thang Hen and the Canh Cao Sinkhole
The cost of two-way transportation from Hanoi to Cao Bang will be subtracted from the tour ticket if you do not utilize it. If you are already in Cao Bang, we will pick you up at Thang Hen lake resort.
7:00: Enjoy a peaceful morning with the poetic scenery of Thang Hen Lake and have breakfast, and drink coffee to relax. The whole group got to know each other and listened to the tour guide disseminate basic safety rules.
8:00: The whole group focuses on warm-up, safety experts guide you to use safety equipment and practice swinging.
9h30: Departure, journey to explore the old forest, rocky mountains, and Tra Linh nature reserve. Approaching Canh Cao sinkhole – the deepest and most attractive point in the morning journey.
11h00: Arriving at the cave entrance, Tour guide and Safety Assistant will guide the whole group to swing into the sinkhole. Here, you will admire the miraculous work of water flow over millions of years of absorption and erosion. If viewed from above, we can see an entire mountain range that seems to have been cut by a giant hole in the middle. If you don’t stay at the bottom of the Canh Cao Sinkhole, you will see a magical dome of heaven.
11h00-12h00: Continue to explore space in the sinkhole. Around the Canh Cao Sinkhole are cliffs with grassy moss that has grown green for thousands of years. Beneath Sinkhole are many types of trees from wood to grass, forming a luxuriant forest as if standing in a miniature version of Son Doong cave (Quang Binh).
12h30: After that, you have lunch right in the sinkhole.
13h30: Guides guests to swing up the cave wall, and take pictures to check-in.
15h00: Trekking back to Thang Hen Lake, let’s explore this beautiful but also mysterious lake. Everyone will experience rafting around the lake, fishing, rowing SUP to explore the lake, swimming in the pool, swimming in the lake, and exploring natural underground caves around the lake. Depending on the time of year, you will witness the strange transformation of the Thang Hen Lake system when the water levels of the lakes change seasonally through surface and underground flows up to tens of meters of water.

Day 3: Na Ma Valley - Mountain Cave - God's Eye Mountain - Nam Tra Waterfall
6:00: Wake up in the morning light of the mountains, have breakfast, and enjoy coffee or a cup of warm ginger tea.
8:00: The whole group gathers for the tour guide to disseminate the schedule, safety rules, and warm-up exercises before departure.
8h30 – 10h30: Continue trekking to track the water up high, through the dense forests, and enjoy the unspoiled nature. On the journey, you can freely see the exotic flowers and herbs, the colorful mushrooms on display along the way, the valleys of velvety green grass, and the close-knit peaks of the mountains, all shapes and sizes.
10h30 – 12h00: Start the journey through the mountain through the mysterious cave deep in the old forest. Admire the stalactites with a variety of interesting shapes.
12:30: Have lunch, and rest in the valley to recharge for the afternoon journey.
13h30 – 14h00: Coming to Na Ma Valley, opening in front of your eyes is a valley stretching endlessly with purple Ham Ha flower fields in the distance, a few horses are leisurely grazing. That unreal scene was like stepping into a fairyland. Na Ma Valley every time of the year changes a new shirt according to the water brought, sometimes it is an endless green steppe, sometimes a field with lakes and winding rivers.
14h30: Check-in at the Eye of God mountain with an altitude of nearly 700m – the highest place that leaves traces proving the power of the water flow, watching the unique mountain with a hole on the top of the mountain with a unique shape like a giant eye The giant has a diameter of 50m.
15h00: From the mountain of the Eye of God, go down and continue to cross the Nam Tra waterfall. The waterfall with its seasonally changing water flows through gray cliffs, surrounded by a green forest canopy. Nam Tra Waterfall connects with lakes around Mat Than Mountain to form a giant water-regulating system of nature, forming a closed cycle of water flow. Just soak your feet in the cool water and feel the wonderful arrangement of nature here.
15:30 – 17:00: Passing Nam Tra waterfall to the pick-up point, returning to the homestay to shower and rest.
17h00: Depart to return to Hanoi, the whole group will stop to have dinner and rest at a rest stop.

There are two distinct hot and cold seasons in this region due to the subtropical monsoon climate.

Bath at the campsites
All campsites on the tour are located right next to natural streams, lakes and waterfalls. Tourists can swim and bathe comfortably at the campsites. At the camping sites, there are a number of tanks and water cans to store clean water for visitors to bathe on rainy days and cloudy spring water.
